Epson WorkForce WF-100 Review, Manual, FREE Driver Soft

Epson WorkForce WF-100

Epson WorkForce WF-100

The Epson WorkForce WF-100’s small form factor and cordless publishing chops make it an attractive choice for business travelers looking for a mobile inkjet printer.

Epson WorkForce WF-100 Review

A mobile inkjet printer tailored towards business experts, the Epson WorkForce WF-100 ($349.99) brings a variety of link techniques, typically missing from the mobile inkjets we’ve evaluated. This, and its lightweight, small form factor, makes it an excellent device for roadway warriors that need to publish documents in a squeeze from mobile phones and tablet computers, as well as laptop computers.

Although it disappoints the competitors in several other locations, the WF-100’s ($451.39 at Amazon.com) ability to connect to cordless networks and mobile devices should make it an attractive choice for many business travelers.

Other Driver: Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740

Design and Features

When shut, the WF-100 measures 2.4 by 12.2 by 6.1 inches (HWD), and it evaluates simply 3.5 extra pounds, production it more lightweight and small compared to its peers, the HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer ($451.39 at Amazon.com) and the Canon Pixma iP100 Picture Printer ($451.39 at Amazon.com). The WF-100, shiny and matte black in transform, folds up open up so that its cover becomes the paper owner for the input tray, which accepts a simple 20 sheets of ordinary paper.

Simply before the paper feeder is a 1.8-inch LCD for browsing the food selections with the aid of a four-way rocker switch, with a main OK button, located simply to the display’s right, these are flanked by the power switch (with the standard icon), and a terminate switch (the symbol is a red circle containing a triangular). These are these printers just physically managed.

The printer can be powered either from the AC wall surface adapter or an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The battery can be billed either from the adapter or a computer system over a USB cable television when the printer is shut off or in the Rest setting. In either case, fully charging the battery takes about 2.5 hrs, and a fee should benefit publishing about 50 color or 100 black-and-white web pages, inning accordance with Epson.

Connection

The WF-100 can connect to a computer system via USB 2.0, a local-area network via 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, or make a straight peer-to-peer link to a computer system or mobile phone via Wi-Fi Direct. It supports publishing from the Epson iPrint application for iOS or Android. Epson E-mail Publish and Epson Remote Publish permit users to immediately print to the WF-100 by sending out documents via e-mail.

Epson gives you the option of having an e-mail address designated to the printer throughout the configuration process, which you can, later on, change to an address more for your liking.

Cartridge Capacity and Operating Costs

The WF-100 uses two ink cartridges, one for black ink and the other combining cyan, magenta, and yellow. The black cartridge has a ranked yield of 250 pages; the color cartridge, 200. This is a smidge higher than the Canon iP100, with declared profits of 249 web pages for its color cartridge and 191 web pages for black. However, it is significant except the HP Officejet 100’s claimed 560 web pages for its high-yield color cartridge and 500 web pages for black.

Operating costs for the WF-100, based upon Epson’s price and yield numbers for its cartridges, are 8.8 cents for each black web page and 17.8 cents for each color web page. This is significantly greater compared to the Canon iP100 (6.3 and 13.1 cents, specifically) and also compared to the HP Officejet 100 (4.8 and 11.9 cents).

If your need for mobile document publishing is purely light-duty, operating costs may not be an essential factor, but the more you publish, the more the distinction in operating costs could increase your costs with the WF-100, compared to these various other two models.
