Epson Artisan 710 Review

The Artisan 700 was a straightforward and straightforward printer with incorporated Wi-Fi and Ethernet for networking, 6 Claria Hi-Definition ink cartridges, and other valuable features. Provided the excellent overall well worth, it had not been a great deal of stun when Epson announced the arrival of a brand-new Artisans 710, the fan to the famous Artisans 700.

With a roadway price of much less than $160, quieter publishing, and the improvement of 2-sided publishing, the Artisans 710 is undoubtedly a nice update. Is this the right printer for you? Continue reading to find out!

BUILD AND DESIGN

The Artisans 710 is virtually just like its forerunner, the Artisans 700, at the minimum when viewed from the front. Both share the same front layout and flatbed scanner on top with a mix of glossy and matte black plastics with silver highlights.

Straight beneath that silver “pin red red stripe” accent on the front of the Artisans, 710 is the multi-paper input tray and fold-out output release tray. The paper input tray stands for 120 sheets of regular paper, ten envelopes, and 20 Premium Picture Paper Glossy sheets. At the same time, many many thanks to versatile paper clasps located inside the tray. The Artisans 710 can release on various media with the maximum paper measurement of 8.5 x 44 inches.

Underneath the printer’s top cover, users will find the 48-bit colour flatbed scanner with an optical resolution of up to 2400 dpi. The preset copy setups consist of colour, black/white, text, video clip, and picture. The maximum inspects/copy measurement is 8.5 x 11 inches.

Other Driver: Epson XP-310

Raise the scanner to access them within the machine and install the six individual Claria “Hi-Definition” ink cartridges. The ports are colour coded for easy installation, and the black ink cartridge port works with Epson’s High-Capacity ink cartridge (98 Claria High-Capacity Black).

The versatile control board runs along the entire front of the Artisans 710 and features a 2.5-inch Transform LCD. Again, this resembles what we’ve seen on the Artisans 700 as well as a variety of various other Epson printers.

The incorporated sd card reader featuring a PictBridge port resides to the control board’s all-time reduced right. The following sd card work: CompactFlash, Microdrive, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, MagicGate, Memory Stick, MagicGate Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Pro Duo, SD, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card, xD-Picture Card Type-M, and the xD-Picture Card Type-H.

The 710 can be used via a USB, Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection; all the link ports are found on the back of the device. Also located on the back of the printer is the duplexer for two-sided publishing. This is where the Artisans 710 differs most certainly from the Artisans 700 (which didn’t feature a duplexer).
