Wonder Woman 1984 Review
The release schedule has been postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film Wonder Woman 1984 finally opens on December 16, 2020, in theatres and HBO Max. Wonder Woman 1984 is one of the DC superhero films that fans have been waiting for.
Even though they had to wait quite a long time, fans were finally able to witness Gal Gadot’s adventures as Diana Prince. Curious about what the Wonder Woman 1984 film will be like?
1. Synopsis of the film Wonder Woman 1984
The 1984 Wonder Woman film tells Diana Prince’s adventures 70 years after her first film, Wonder Woman. This time Diana is told as an archaeologist in Washington D.C. in the midst of the Cold War conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union.
As usual, Diana will be faced with a terrible enemy. They are Barbara (Kristen Wiig) and Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal). This film also returns Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), Diana’s lover.
2. The adventures of Diana Prince in a new world
This film shows Gal Gadot’s new adventure as Wonder Woman in a new world and a different era. But in the beginning, the audience might be a little confused about what Diana will do this time to save the world. Even so, the film Wonder Woman 1984 has a scene that makes you amazed.
3. Two enemies did not hinder Wonder Woman 1984
Wonder Woman 1984 features two enemies who are expected to make this film feel exciting and tense. But it feels like the two villains don’t make Gal Gadot’s adventure feel really thrilled this time, especially when Barbara’s strength was only shown briefly.
4. The 1984 Wonder Woman film had a fairly slow plot
From the beginning to the middle, the film Wonder Woman 1984 has a slightly slow plot. This makes Gal Gadot’s action a little boring. However, mid to late, you will be satisfied with Wonder Woman’s astonishing power.
5. Have a human message
Behind all of that, Wonder Woman 1984 teaches gratitude for what we have. Excessive desire will only make humans greedy. Therefore, not all human wishes on this earth can be granted, especially if it brings disaster to other people, even the world.
Gal Gadot’s acting as Wonder Woman is the strength of the film Wonder Woman 1984. For those of you who love superhero films, don’t miss it! Enough to make you curious.
